In the video below you can see a how to clone your Windows to a new empty HDD or SSD! You can clone your Windows with several different cloning software (free and paid). In the video below the cloning is done with Macrium Reflect. With this cloning software you can shrink or enlarge partitions to make to fit on your target drive. For example, if your new SSD is smaller than your original hard drive you can make the partitions smaller so you can fit them all on your new SSD. Counterwise you can also make partitions bigger when you are moving on to a larger HDD or SSD. Cloning can be done when your new SSD or HDD is installed through USB or SATA (via HDD Caddy).
